Miniature golf shrinks the putting green into a course of short holes with banks, tunnels and water, a seaside and roadside pastime since the early twentieth century.

How it is played

Players putt a ball from a tee to a hole on each of nine or eighteen small greens, counting strokes; obstacles and slopes make each hole a small physics problem.
