About this game
The classic ring-and-bar puzzle from China. Take three to nine real metal rings on and off a steel bar following one rule, and free them all. An exact counter shows the fewest moves still needed, seven hands-on lessons teach the rhythm, Hint shows the next legal move and why, and Auto Play solves the puzzle while explaining. No ads, works offline.
How to play
- New here? Tap Learn to play: seven short hands-on lessons.
- Tap a ring to take it off the bar or put it back on. Glowing rings can move right now.
- Ring 1, next to the free end, always moves.
- Any other ring moves only when the ring before it is on the bar and all the rings before that are off.
- To go shows the fewest moves still needed from where you are.
- Hint shows the next move of a shortest solution, with the reason. Undo takes a move back.
- Auto Play solves the puzzle by itself and explains each move; Pause stops it.
- Choose three to nine rings, Classic or Scramble, in the menu or Settings.
