Daldøs

Throw the stick, turn your spatulas, race them home.

About this game

Daldøs is a traditional board game of Norway and Denmark. Throw a four-sided stick, walk flat wooden spatulas out along your own row of a boat-shaped board, turn them over and bring them home along the shared middle row, capturing rivals by landing on them. Four computer levels, two players on one phone, hints, a Watch and Learn mode, large text and reduced motion options, no ads, works offline.

How to play

  1. Tap the tray to throw the four-sided stick. It shows 1, 2, 3 or 4.
  2. Spatulas that can use the throw glow. Tap one and a ring shows where it lands.
  3. Tap the ring, or the spatula again, to move. A waiting spatula is launched from your harbour.
  4. Walk out along your own row. At the far end the spatula turns over.
  5. Come home along the shared middle row, against your rival's traffic.
  6. Land exactly on a single rival in the middle row to capture it. Two together are a safe pair.
  7. A throw of 4 earns another throw.
  8. Bring every spatula home first to win. Hint, danger marks and Auto Play help you learn.
