Game of the Goose

About this game

The classic European dice race on a hand-painted spiral of 63 picture spaces, for two to six players. Geese double your move, a bridge, inn, well, prison, maze and skeleton change your luck, and only an exact throw reaches the Garden. Play the pure classic or add optional choices: pick a die, take shortcut roads, collect feathers. Computer opponents, a hint button, Watch and Learn, an in-app Rules book, portrait and landscape, no ads or betting.

How to play

1. Roll two dice and walk your pawn that many spaces along the spiral.
2. A goose carries you on again by the same number; pictures change your fortunes.
3. The inn holds you a turn; the well and prison wait for a rescuer or a double.
4. Land exactly on 63, the Garden, to win; an overshoot bounces you back.
5. Optional variants add a choice of dice, shortcut roads and feathers.
6. Tap the lightbulb for a hint, or try Watch and Learn to see the game play itself.
