Intha Leg Rowing

Scull one-legged through the misty floating gardens of Inle Lake.

About this game

A calm balance and flow game from the lake villages of Myanmar. Your thumb is the leg on the oar: sweep for speed, sweep to one side to steer, keep your poise over swells and stakes, and go still beside a shoal to lift the net. Eight courses, three rival rowers, Practice, Watch and Learn, an in-app Rules book, portrait and landscape play, synthesised sound, no ads.

How to play

  1. Hold and drag left and right along the oar pad: faster sweeps give more speed.
  2. Sweep on the side you want to go to; the teal marker shows where you are steering.
  3. Steer round stakes and weed and thread the buoy gates between the pairs of buoys.
  4. Row gently through swell bands; frantic strokes and knocks cost poise, and no poise means a splash.
  5. Slow down beside a fish shoal with it on your right, lift your thumb and let the net ring fill.
  6. Reach the landing ahead of three rivals: stars for finishing, winning and the fish quota.
  7. Watch and Learn rows a course for you and thinks before each section. Pause it any time.
  8. On a keyboard: hold Left or Right arrow to sweep that way, Space holds still, P pauses.
