Kharbaga
Jump, crown a Master, capture every piece.
About this game
Kharbaga is a traditional North African capturing game played on a small square board in Algeria, Tunisia and Libya. Men step forward or sideways and jump to capture, and capturing is compulsory, so every move is a plan. Chain jumps, crown a Master on the far row and fly it along the board. Five computer levels, two players on one phone, hands-on lessons, hints that explain why, danger marks, take back and a Watch & Learn mode. A carved sand-and-clay board, large text and reduced motion options, no ads, works offline.
How to play
- New here? Tap Learn to play: six short hands-on lessons where you make every move yourself.
- Tap a piece and its reachable squares glow. A man steps one square forward or sideways, never back.
- Tap a glowing square or drag the piece there. A red ring means the move captures; the number says how many.
- Jump over a neighbouring enemy piece onto the empty square behind it. A man can jump in any direction.
- Capturing is compulsory: if you can jump, you must. Ringed pieces show who has to.
- Chains: a piece that can keep jumping must, and the whole run is one move.
- Reach the far row to crown a Master, who slides like a rook and captures from a distance.
- Auto Play shows the computer playing both sides, with Pause. Hint explains a good move.
