Matkot Beach Rally

The beach paddle game from Israel. Keep the ball alive.

About this game

Matkot, the wooden-paddle rally heard on every Israeli beach. Drag to run, lift to swing, and rally with a partner for the longest streak or beat five rivals who read the ball like real people. Golden-hour sand, sea and a sky that slides toward sunset.

How to play

  1. Press anywhere and drag to run. Lift your thumb to swing.
  2. Get under the white ring on the sand: that is where the ball drops.
  3. Meet the ball on the left or right of your paddle to aim left or right.
  4. Swing early for a fast smash, late for a high lob; mid-height is sweet.
  5. Beach Rally: keep it going with Dana. Match: first to 7 or 11 wins.
