Five in a Row: Renju & Omok

About this game

Make five in a row to win. Three authentic rule sets (free-style Gomoku, Renju with Black's restrictions and optional tournament openings, and Korean Omok), five computer levels, a coach that explains every threat, eight lessons and a Watch & Learn mode. Lit wooden boards, portrait and landscape.

How to play

1. Touch the board to aim a ghost stone, slide to adjust, lift to place it.
2. Be the first to line up five stones: across, up and down, or diagonally.
3. In Renju, Black needs exactly five and may not make an overline, a double four or a double three.
4. Omok is played on a 19 by 19 board and bans Black's double three.
5. Red crosses mark Black's forbidden points; gold and red rings mark fives to make or stop.
6. Use Hint for a move with a plain-words explanation, and Undo to take a move back.
7. Learn the key patterns in eight short lessons, or watch the computer play both sides.
8. Choose a computer level from Learner to Master, or pass the device for two players.
