About this game

A traditional Egyptian board game for a 5x5 board, made beautiful. Fill the board two stones at a time, leaving only the centre empty, then slide your stones and trap enemy stones between two of yours. Lit pebbles and date stones sit on a carved sandstone board. Five opponent levels from Novice to Master, two players on one phone, Think with a plain-English reason, a short Learn course and Watch & Learn. Play in English or in Arabic. No timers and no ads.

How to play

1. Each side has 12 stones. Take turns placing two stones at a time on any empty square except the centre, until the board is full.
2. Then slide one stone a step, up, down, left or right, into an empty square. The side that placed last moves first, into the centre.
3. Trap an enemy stone between two of yours, in a row or column, to capture it. One slide can take several; the same stone may go on.
4. Corners can never be captured and the centre square is safe too. If a side cannot move, the other side moves again.
5. Reduce your opponent to one stone to win. Think shows a good move and why; Learn and Watch & Learn teach the ideas.
