Tarneeb

The partnership card game of the Levant

About this game

Tarneeb is the bidding-and-trump trick-taking card game of the Levant. You and a computer partner bid against two computer opponents for how many of 13 tricks your side will take; the winning bidder names trump and leads. Follow suit, take tricks, and score by what you win. Learn in eight hands-on lessons, play four computer levels with hints that explain the reasoning, and solve a new open-hand Daily Deal every day. An in-app Rules page covers bidding and scoring in full. Designed cards with a large-print option, a warm cafe table. No ads, offline, score only.

How to play

  1. Four players, two partnerships: you and your partner against two computer opponents.
  2. Bidding: each player bids 7 to 13 tricks or passes. High bidder names trump and leads.
  3. TAP a card to lift it, TAP again (or DRAG it up) to play. You must follow the suit led.
  4. Highest trump wins a trick; with no trump played, highest card of the suit led wins.
  5. Make your bid and your side scores its tricks; fall short and your side loses the bid.
  6. Eight lessons teach following suit, trump, bidding, partnership play and a full hand.
  7. Daily Deal: all hands face up. Only one first card can reach the target; find it, then play it out.
  8. Hint explains a good bid or card with a reason; Undo takes back your last move.
