Vallenato Accordion Trio
Three parts. One groove.
About this game
A rhythm and ensemble game about vallenato, the accordion music of Colombia's Caribbean coast. Scrape the guacharaca, drum the caja and play the accordion with a real push and pull bellows, one take at a time, and hear your own three takes lock into a band. Or follow the spotlight in the Live Trio. Six original pieces in four aires, hints, Watch and Learn, a latency calibration screen and an in-app Rules page. Synthesised sound, no ads, works offline.
How to play
- Pick a piece, then record three takes: guacharaca, caja, accordion.
- Notes slide along the ribbon to the gold playhead. Tap or scrape when they arrive.
- Accordion: tap the numbered button, and hold the bellows pad with your other thumb for a PULL note.
- Caja: left half for TUM, right half for TAK. Guacharaca: scrape left or right across the tube.
- Each earlier take plays back under the next, exactly as you played it.
- Live Trio moves the spotlight from part to part every two bars.
- The bulb names your next notes. Watch and Learn plays the whole piece for you.
- On a keyboard: A S D F G H J, Space for the bellows, Z and X, the arrow keys.
