phospholamban
Phospholamban
Phospholamban (PLN, gene PLN) — 52-aa transmembrane micropeptide that tonically inhibits SERCA2a by reducing Ca²⁺ affinity (Km ~0.2→0.6 µM). PKA (Ser16) and CaMKII (Thr17) phosphorylation reverse inhibition, producing lusitropy and increased SR Ca²⁺ loading.
