The macOS app is notarized — Apple ran the same automated malware scan the App Store uses on the exact file you download, and verified the publisher as EqualInformation, LLC. That's why it opens with no security warning. Every release also publishes SHA-256 checksums so you can confirm your download is untampered, and the local engine is the open-source MIT Maker — auditable by anyone. How to verify →
