Zoom in from the global economy to a single item
All 20 Human Endeavors categories and their 397 items, summarized on one interactive map. Click a category to zoom in, click an item to open its own page. Each node carries a real, sourced $ valuation where a legitimate one exists; where it doesn't, that's shown honestly rather than guessed — most items are tracked with a real citation on their own page even where no $ figure exists to aggregate here.
Not a measure of GDP or the size of a country's economy — this is specifically the value of gold, silver, and copper reserves held in the ground in each country, at current spot prices, combined into one bubble. Chile ranks #1 because it holds the world's largest copper reserves (~180 million tonnes, USGS) — its actual GDP is roughly 1% of the United States'. Items without a published per-country breakdown (Supply Chain, Banana) aren't on this map — see "By category" below for those.

Cell size is proportional to $ value. Categories and items with no valued items yet still show up (dashed outline) — nothing is hidden just because it doesn't have a price tag. All 20 categories and their up to 20 items each are here, drillable two levels deep; only 4 of 397 items carry a real $ figure today, the rest link straight to their own cited page.
