About MedForge
MedForge is a growing encyclopedia of medicine that you learn by playing. The aim is a self-guided curriculum with the rigor of a leading U.S. MD program that is just as useful to a practicing physician, including emergency physicians and surgeons, as it is to a first-year student, and that respects how practice differs between health systems around the world.
How we build each lesson
- Start from named sources. Every statement is written from public, authoritative sources and cites them. Facts are paraphrased, never copied.
- Prefer primary and guideline-grade sources. Government and international bodies (NIH and the National Library of Medicine, NHLBI, FDA, WHO), national guidance (for example NICE), and specialty guidelines or peer-reviewed papers, in that spirit of priority.
- Check the links. Every citation is fetched automatically to confirm that the page is live and still discusses the topic, and records the date accessed.
- Audit the content. Lessons receive independent accuracy reviews; findings and fixes are logged and corrected.
- Show the work. Each explanation carries numbered citations that open the original page inside the app, with back and forward, so you never lose your place.
What MedForge is not
It is not medical advice or a medical device, and it does not replace protocols, current guidelines or clinical judgement. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any hospital, university, agency or examination body.
Where it is going
See the curriculum map for what exists and what is planned, including regional guideline comparisons and refreshers for practicing clinicians.
Corrections
Medicine changes and mistakes happen. If you find an error, check the lesson's cited sources, and tell us at support@equalinformation.com. We correct what we are told about.
