Platelet Factor 4 (PF4/CXCL4; chr4q13.3) is a CXC chemokine released from platelet alpha-granules; neutralizes heparin; PF4-heparin complexes are the HIT antigen: IgG → FcγRIIA → platelet activation → thrombosis despite thrombocytopenia. Also anti-angiogenic.
