App Support — PlainLife

Get help with PlainLife — the human generational health loop, womb to next womb, offline.

PlainLife guides you through the entire arc of human health as one continuous, intergenerational loop — "womb to next womb" — across six chapters: Origins (embryology & preconception), Birth (pregnancy, labor & postpartum), Childhood, Adolescence, Fertility, and Generations. It is plain-language, evidence-based with cited sources, and 100% on-device — no accounts, no servers, encrypted local storage, and the core works fully offline. PlainLife is available now on Google Play, and coming soon to the App Store.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is PlainLife available yet?

Yes — PlainLife is available now on Google Play. It is also coming soon to the Apple App Store.

Is my data private?

Yes. PlainLife is 100% on-device with no account, no servers, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no user tracking. Your profile, tracking entries, notes, and bookmarks are kept in encrypted local storage — you hold the keys. We never collect any personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

What does PlainLife do?

PlainLife treats health as a single continuous loop instead of separate life-stages. It covers six chapters — Origins, Birth, Childhood, Adolescence, Fertility, and Generations — with plain-language guidance, urgency / triage tags so you know when to seek timely care, and "Ask PlainLife" for quick answers. It also includes tracking, bookmarks, reminders, a glossary, full-text search, and a doctor-summary you can share.

What is "Ask PlainLife"?

Ask PlainLife is an offline question-and-answer feature. It retrieves answers from PlainLife's bundled, cited knowledge base right on your device — no LLM, no servers, no internet required. You can type your question or use voice input, and have answers read aloud.

What are the birth tools?

PlainLife includes practical tools for the Birth chapter, such as a kick counter and a contraction timer, alongside week-by-week pregnancy guidance and warning-sign information. As always, these are educational aids — not a replacement for your midwife or doctor.

Does the app require internet?

No. PlainLife's core works fully offline, including in airplane mode. It does not require location, camera, or contacts, and does not need internet for its core functionality. Voice input uses optional Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions, requested only when you choose to speak.

Can I export or delete my data?

Yes. PlainLife gives you an export option and a delete-all option from within the app, so you stay in control. Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data from your device.

Is PlainLife a replacement for seeing a doctor or midwife?

No. PlainLife is for education and triage guidance only. It helps you understand each stage of the health loop and recognize when to seek care, but it does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Always consult a licensed healthcare provider for medical advice, and in an emergency contact your local emergency services.

The app is crashing or not loading. What should I do?

Try these steps:
1. Force-close and reopen the app.
2. Restart your device.
3. Make sure you are running the latest version once PlainLife is available on the App Store or Google Play.
4. If the issue persists, contact us (see below) with your device model, OS version, and a description of the problem.
