No. Zoel AI runs on your device. After you download a model (one time), chat, voice, and knowledge work fully offline. The internet is only used if you opt into internet enrichment or use cloud AI with your own API key.
Go to Settings → AI Engine & Models and download a model (for example a small Llama model, ~2 GB). Models are kept out of the install to keep the app small, so you download the one that fits your phone. The speech and semantic-search models work the same way.
Only for voice input. Speech recognition runs on your device; your audio is never uploaded. You can use Zoel AI entirely by typing if you prefer.
Yes. Connecting health, calendar, or files is opt-in, and that data is used only on your device to personalize answers. It is never sent to EqualInformation or any server.
The AI conversation is available in every module on every tier; only a module’s knowledge library is gated.
Reinstalled or switched devices? Open Settings → Membership → Restore Purchases. No account is needed — purchases are tied to your Apple ID or Google account.
Yes — Bring Your Own Key. Add your own provider API key in Settings and your prompts go directly from your device to that provider, billed to your account. EqualInformation never sees your key or prompts.
Zoel AI is multilingual for both voice and text, and replies in the language you write or speak.
