This Privacy Policy applies to the Global Intelligence apps (iOS and Android bundle/package identifier: com.equalinformation.globalintelligence.app) and to the companion website at equalinformation.com/global-intelligence-site. A copy of this policy is also published on that site at equalinformation.com/global-intelligence-site/privacy/; both describe the same practices.
Global Intelligence has no user accounts, sign-ups, or logins. It does not run analytics, crash-reporting, or advertising SDKs of any kind, and does not use advertising identifiers. We do not know who you are, and we cannot — there is nothing tying app activity back to a person.
Everything you do inside the app — pins, preferences, reading history, hidden categories, cached briefings, and onboarding state — is written only to storage local to your device (UserDefaults on iOS, local preferences/DataStore on Android). None of it is ever transmitted anywhere.
The only network request the apps make is downloading the latest briefing pack — a public JSON file, the same one published on the companion website — on a schedule or when you tap refresh. That request carries no identifying information beyond what any HTTP request inherently includes (such as your IP address, visible to our hosting provider and never logged or linked to anything else). Nothing about you is ever sent up; only the briefing comes down.
Reminder notifications, when enabled, are scheduled locally by the operating system. There is no push-notification server and no device token is ever collected — we have no mechanism to send anything to you remotely.
The briefing is assembled from public RSS feeds published by the news outlets listed in our source registry. We summarize reporting in our own words and always link back to the original article. This is a one-way process — building the briefing never involves reading anything about you.
Global Intelligence has no account system of its own. The Briefing feed and Top 10 are unlocked by Global Intelligence Premium, an auto-renewing monthly subscription ($4.99/month reference price; your store may show a localized equivalent), billed and managed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own respective policies. Your payment method and identity are held by Apple or Google, never by us — the app receives only entitlement status (subscribed or not), never payment details.
EqualInformation, LLC does not sell, rent, or share personal data through Global Intelligence — because it does not collect any to begin with.
Global Intelligence relies on iOS and Android platform protections and app sandboxing to keep on-device storage secure. However, no method of storage is completely secure, and the company cannot guarantee absolute security.
Because Global Intelligence collects no personal information from anyone, there is no data of any kind collected from children or any other user.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the Effective Date above.
