These terms are between you and EqualInformation, LLC for the PlainShelter app. By using the app you agree to them. Apple's standard licensed-application end user license agreement also applies to the iPhone app, and Google Play's terms apply to the Android app.
PlainShelter gives general survival information from public-domain and open sources. It is not professional, medical or emergency-service advice. In an emergency, call your local emergency number first.
To the extent the law allows, EqualInformation, LLC is not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the app or its content.
Recommendations are paraphrased from public-domain or openly licensed publications and cite them. Some older sources recommend practices we deliberately leave out because they are unsafe today. Offline excerpts are machine-read text and may contain small errors; the live original is linked. Cited publishers keep their own rights in their pages.
Survival shelters and knots are free. PlainShelter Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the upgrade ladder. Price and any free trial are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase (after any free trial). The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your Apple ID or Google Play settings. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices. You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the app, or remove its notices. The original diagrams and app text are owned by EqualInformation, LLC; third-party sources keep their own licences.
The app is provided as is, without warranty. We may update or change features and these terms; the effective date below shows the latest version.
