Global Monetary Systems is provided by EqualInformation, LLC. It is a sourced, offline-first reference on how the world's monetary system works — central banks, exchange-rate regimes, monetary history, and the design space for future systems — the macro companion to our PlainMoney app.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Global Monetary Systems app (iOS bundle identifier: com.equalinformation.globalmonetarysystems.app; Android package name: com.equalinformation.globalmonetarysystems.app), available on the App Store and Google Play.
Nothing. Global Monetary Systems does not require an account and does not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or any other personal information. It does not use analytics, crash reporting, or advertising SDKs of any kind.
Depending on how you use the app, it may store the following locally, never transmitting it:
All of it lives only in local app storage on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere, and we have no way to see it. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
Global Monetary Systems is 100% offline-capable — every page, citation reference, and the on-device AI all work without a network connection once the app and any chosen model are installed. The app's only network activity, other than store billing, is:
Global Monetary Systems can answer questions using an AI model that runs entirely on your device — nothing you ask, and nothing the model answers, is ever sent to us or to any third party. The model itself is a file you choose to download once from its publisher; after that, every question and answer stays on your phone. The feature is opt-in and off by default ("Enable AI/LLM").
You can point the camera at text or speak a question instead of typing it into the search box. Both are recognized entirely on-device (Apple/Google's on-device text and speech recognition) — no photo or audio is ever uploaded or stored by the app.
Every page, citation, learning path, and the on-device AI all run entirely on-device. There is no account, no company-run backend, and no user tracking.
Global Monetary Systems does not use any analytics SDKs, crash reporters, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools. No data is sent to third-party analytics services.
Every claim in the app is traced to a named, tappable source — official institutions (IMF, World Bank, BIS, central banks, treasuries) first, peer-reviewed research otherwise. The app explains how the monetary system works and what has historically followed a given kind of event; it never tells you what to buy, sell, or invest in, and it is not a substitute for licensed financial, legal, or investment advice.
The app does not request access to your location or contacts. On Android, it requests only Internet (for the data refresh and citation viewing described above) and, only if you choose to use them, Camera (text recognition) and Record Audio (speech recognition) — both processed entirely on-device. On iOS, it requests camera and microphone/speech-recognition access only when you choose to use the camera or voice search — both entirely on-device.
The Essentials layer of every page is free, permanently. Global Monetary Systems Pro is an optional monthly subscription that unlocks the Applied and Research depth layers on every page. If you subscribe, your payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never see or store your payment details — we only receive confirmation from the App Store or Google Play that an active subscription exists.
EqualInformation, LLC does not sell personal or sensitive user data. We do not share users' data with data brokers or for advertising purposes. The company does not intentionally transmit personal or sensitive user data to its own servers or unrelated third parties.
Uninstalling Global Monetary Systems removes all locally stored data (saved pages, reading position, settings, any downloaded AI model, and any API key you entered). This doesn't affect the bundled reference content itself, which simply reinstalls with the app.
Global Monetary Systems is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be included in the app and posted here, with the Effective Date above revised.
