NASH
Metabolic liver disease from steatosis (NAFLD) through steatohepatitis (NASH) to fibrosis and HCC; driven by insulin resistance and hepatic lipid overload. TGF-beta activates stellate cells → fibrosis; semaglutide and resmetirom (THR-beta agonist) are approved treatments.
